Compute
We offer pre-defined Linux container configurations for general purpose services as well as for high performance computing.
New containers are semi-automatically provisioned within 24 hours during work days and are available at no cost for both students and staff members.
On all managed systems users can use sudo to install packages from the Debian repository and do a few other things.
Note: docker is not compatible to the PaaS containers we provide based on systemd-nspawn. Means you will not be able to run docker inside them.
Starting 2023 we will provide IaaS VMs on OpenStack which will allow to use docker on self-managed systems.
